Another week passed!

Hi all!

So living in a boarding house I am getting very very used to....I now know what dinners to avoid and what to take extra plates of and put them in our fridge!

The last we has been rather eventful actually here is how the last week and a bit have gone :)

Monday: I booked my flights to Aberdeen in April. I headed up there to spend some time with Sian, Martin, Dylan & Lloyd. My best friend, Tori (who is a gapper at Lancing College), is coming to! So we are around family for Easter. I also had my first UK Girl Guides meeting which was amazing! I feel right at home and they all loved hearing about aus funny enough!

Tuesday: I got a parcel from home with my lovely warm jacket which I didn’t even think of bringing and I have worn it every day since it arrived!

Wednesday:  This week is really full of firsts, I had my Under 9a’s first hockey match and they won 9-0! Well done to my amazing girlys!! Later that night I went and joined the local hockey club and had our first training session and I am now playing in their women’s league 2’s. The way they structure their training is so different, I think it will take some getting used to!

Thursday: Thursday wasn’t really anything special, except for coaching the senior boys hockey with the other hockey coach, let me just say that teaching rugby players to play hockey is rather challenging!

Friday: I had the day off work stuck in bed with a nasty nasty cold but I went to tesco, our favourite new shop, and bought some cold and flu tablets!

Saturday: Started feeling better, well no fever anymore. I got up and was hanging with Annabel and Cullen, the other gapers and very very late on Saturday night I bought tickets to Cirque du Sole, Tori and I are going to see them on feb 4th and spending the weekend in London together!!! Girly weekend!!!

Sunday:  Went to London for the day for some retail therapy, which worked very well. I met up with a whole bunch of CGGS & CGS gapers in London and hung out a bit then took Annabel and I home and into bed asleep by 8pm!!!!

Monday: Second Guide  meeting and now my Queens Guide is back on track and I might ACTUALLY get it done!

Nothing much has happened in the last two days, but from now on I will only be blogging on exciting things as now I’m working full - time and well every week is the same! So until the next exciting event

The kids here are so so cute! some are brats but most are absolutely adorable!

Its starting to get really cold over here :) hoping for snow next week!

1 week down 51 to go!

So the first week in the most United of Kingdoms is complete, and well hasn’t it been a busy week!

Day 1: Landed at Heathrow at 450am! And made our way to The Clink Hostel in Kings Cross, London which was conveniently about 1km from Kings Cross Station and we then headed out to do the stereotypical tourist stuff, Green Park, Buckingham (where I met up with Tori!!), Big Ben, London Eye and so on J

Day 2: After a horrible night’s sleep we went down for breaky which is still the most horrible meal I’ve had L and then we were given a talk about child protection. We then hopped onto the Underground and headed out to Regent Street and Oxford Street. I think I single handily boosted the British economy in just a few shops! That night we headed out to an Aussie Pub called the Walkabout, which was a lot of fun, it was a really nice way to spend our last night together as a group.

Day 3: Off to School!  Annabel and I got to Copthorne Prep School mid afternoon and spent and hour setting up our rooms, believe it or not but my room here is bigger than me room at home! My room consists of, a bed, an amazingly comfy chair, desk, two sets of draws cupboard and TV!!!!
We then headed over to the Jones’ house for dinner and met their two daughters Luce and Jodie J they are all such a nice family! My new room:

Day 4: We had a tour of the school then into town we went and we were shown the sights and the best shops and then taken to TESCO!!! Haha best shop ever!  And our first trip to our local pub, The Hedgehog!

Day 5: After a stroll around the Crawley shopping centre went had lunch with the Jones’ again and then waited for the arrival of the third gapper Cullen from South Africa! He is such a lovely guy fits in so well with Annabel and I! Second night at the Hedgehog!

Day 6: Up bright and early for a day of odd jobs around the school as gap students do and then off to the hedgehog with a bunch of teachers which was great fun! I found a cyclist! So thanks mum and dad for sending over my riding gear!

Day 7: Another early morning but for a day trip to Brighton for a stroll around the Lanes, The Brighton Pier and Fish n’ Chips on the beach, or what the English think beaches are!!!

Day 8: Today was a very quiet day filled with movies the OC, Nachos and great Gapper bonding time J now tomorrow is my first day of work so I should probably head off to bed!

Night all,

I made it!

Hey to everyone back home!

Well good news...I MADE IT!

Just finished my second day in London. Yesterday we arrrived at 450am and then headed off to out hostel, The Clink, which is actually an old jail/court house! It's sick although breaky this morning was horrid! The tea tasted like wood :( and for me who is a HUGE tea drink I was devestated! So yesterday was spent roaming around Buckingham Palace, Wesminster Abby, Big Ben, The London Eye and the Strand then back to the Hostel. After much hard hard work I managed to stay awake until 9pm and then slept all the way through to 7am this morning. After a quick child protection talk from Nick (our shaporone) we then went on to the Underground out to Regent St & Oxford St, put it this way i think i need to buy another suitcase already and I've only been here two days!!! oh well everything I bought was on sale I managed to save myself over £200!!! So I am a very happy girl right now :)

We are off to Dinner tonight, a place called the Walkabout, which is a Aussie pub :)

Tomorrow I head 40min south to my school to finally getting out of my suit case. our room here is packed!! 12 girl in a 12 bed room that should really only have 6 beds in it :P
Sorry I can't rotate the picture :(

Ill blog again once I've gotten set up at school :)

Missing you all
